    Ryan clearly you’re an idiot…..
    A Pine tree lives averagely for 2000 years. The average life expectancy for an American is 79,3 years
    Which means the following:
    21,77kg*2000yr*40tree=1741600kg CO2
    21800kg*79,3years=1728740kg CO2
    as you can see you only need to plant 40 pine trees and some pine trees get to be up to 5000years old so clearly, you know nothing of what you’re talking about.

      You have not taken into account that 2000years worth of humans is well over 20 lifetimes, each emitting carbon dioxide. And their lives will get worse, global climate change will necessitate greater use of energy. It is worst in countries which refuse to acknowledge climate change… !

      You really know very little about trees, people and humanity. Firstly pine trees typically don’t live to the ripe old age of 2000. I presume you slipped a decimal there. Secondly, it is never polite to call someone an idiot; you can disagree with their work without name calling. Finally if humanity fails to address our collective profligate of resources and generation of carbon emissions, there will be no humanity in 2000 years. Best regards and have a great day.

    330,000,000 americans would then create a need for 909 x 330 million trees, or, 299,970 million trees, or, 0,3 trillion trees.

    Well. The world needs some 3 trillion trees to be planted, anyways, as we have 3 trillion trees left out of the original 6 trillion trees.

    So, it would not be completey far fetched, as a measure, to plant these 300 billion trees, in USA, while reducing the CO2 production anyway…

    Surely the amount of CO2 absorbed per year is dependent on how much it has grown in each year. In first 10 years it grows 1 foot to 20 foot that will be period of maximum absorption of CO2 thereafter its height increase more slowly
